This training for public health professionals will focus on how to apply public health prevention approaches to violence prevention. These approaches can be effective and supportive of other existing, evidence-based prevention work. Topics will include shared risk and protective factors across multiple types of violence (and other public health concerns), the application of a social-ecological model to violence prevention, and specific programs and strategies used to prevent common types of violence.
