The SAPST is an intensive foundational course in substance abuse prevention, grounded in current research and the SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) model, which blends an in-person component with online learning. The course provides knowledge and skills to implement effective, data-driven prevention programs, practices, and polices that reduce behavioral health disparities and improve wellness. This course will be tailored to BSAS grantees, and given the wide range of experience among the current grantee cohort, will provide many opportunities for coordinators to learn from each other. Continuing Education Credits will be available for this class, and grantees may be able to use program money to stay overnight in the hotel if the commuting distance is too far (this will require individual approval from your Contract Manager).
We recognize that a 4-day training requires a significant time investment on your part and appreciate your efforts to prioritize attending this training.
